The Great Flat Lode (12 & 15.11.07)
The
Great Flat Lode is a circular trail around Carn Brea which encompasses
Cornwall's tin mining heritage. Although far from flat, it is
named as such because it is flat compared to other lodes in Cornwall.
A lode is the metalliferous ore (in Cornwall, this being tin),
that fills gaps in layers of rock.
